La Palm Royal Beach Hotel ★★★★

The swimming pool is very spacious and beautiful. the palm trees around the place make is absolutely stunning. The rooms were very spacious and we loved it because we had an infant with us. Staff were cheerful and supportive.

Our third stay at exceeded our expectations. Some of the bungalow rooms near the back of property are outdated. On our third stay we were given a room closer to the ocean and it was updated. The grounds are beautiful and probably has the best pool in Ghana. The kids played in it for hours. The poolside service is great and pizzas were a great value for the quality - lots of cheese and nice thin crust. After being in Ghana for a few months my kids thought the breakfast buffet was the best meal they ever had. It is great, and included - continental and all kinds of options.

Breakfast choice was excellent and the restaurant staff were extremely courteous. The African restaurant is also highly recommended.

Property has a very pretty, well maintained chalet like compounds and a laid back feeling. Pool is huge and very pretty

We liked the location, the pool area, the interior design was African and stylish, and the Ghanaian Village was great. The staff were attentive and had excellent customer service skills - very well trained. Good vfm in comparison to other hotels we had stayed in throughout Ghana

The fresh fruit at breakfast was really good, and the breakfast options were plentiful. The swimming pool is awesome after a hot day travelling around the city. It is refreshing and has a wet bar so you can sit and drink a beer waist deep in water!

All of the staff I encountered were very nice and professional. I had a problem getting into my room, maintenance came right away, fixed the problem and the front desk followed up to make sure I was satisfied. Housekeeping did a fantastic job. The pool, fitness center is really nice. It would be nice if they would extend their pool hours past 6:00PM The grounds are kept pristine. The restaurant and food is great with great service. The fish and chips are absolutely delicious. The waitress that served my friend and I remembered us when we stayed two years ago. I thought that was awesome. The included breakfast is absolutely delicious, fresh coffee, fantastic​ cook-to-order egg omelettes, fruit, bread, cheeses and local dishes; the staff there is also great. Unfortunately I did not go on the beach or in the casino. The rooms themselves are very well kept, clean, lovely patio, almost serene. I stayed in a chalet with my patio facing the beach. The AC works wonderfully and I like how they have their power scheme by putting in the key card and it turns on everything. I Would always recommend people stay here. After reading other reviews, I would say part of the perception is, in this country people are more laid back which also encompasses the service. People here tend to go at their own speed but you will get the service you deserve. If you come from a place like NYC (as I do) we're use to the fast pace, get things done with undue haste and wanting instant gratification. We have to remember different country, different culture.

Beach is in a very poor state, also the showers don't really do there job properly and the towels are really hard

I was at this hotel a few weeks before and I must say the GM has done wonders with staff since then. I was fortunate enough to get an upgraded room. Way to go John (GM) and thank you so much. You will definitely see me soon. :-) I enjoyed the food as usual, but was truly surprised and impressed by the underrated, under utilised, under marketed Royal Dragon at the hotel. Please visit, trust me its worth it. The chef is extremely personable and there was so much food I took my doggy bag :-) Check-in has improved tremendously, it was quick and efficient which is great after a long flight and delays collecting baggage at the airport. Staff members were pleasant and it was good to be remembered. It felt like I came home... Thanks for lunch Ganesh! At the front desk.....ask for Smiley....he knows. Pleasant young man who I would expect to move up soon, he is a hard worker and adds value to the hotel. Best pool in Accra :-) Well done La Palm Royal Beach Hotel!

Room was comfortable. Food at restaurants was excellent.
